la semana pasada fui a conocer el local de Pour Toi Cupcakes. you know me, donde hay comida, allí estoy, y estos cupcakes no decepcionaron. no era la primera vez que los veía, tuvimos unos muy lindos en el local de Los Buhitos cuando hicimos un eventín blogger. más allá de ser extremadamente lindos, ¡son una delicia!
el local, demás está decir que es una divinura, lleno de detalles femeninos. ¡no podía esperarse otra cosa!
me pareció copado mostrarles mi visita y si están por Recoleta y antojados de algo rico, Pour Toi está en Azcuénaga 1226.

last week i visited a local cupcake store called Pour Toi Cupcakes. you know me, if there’s food involved, i’m in! these cupcakes look totally adorable, AND they taste delicious! a while ago we had a little get together at our store Los Buhitos with local bloggers, and we ordered some of their cupcakes to go with our #theloveseason theme. we loved them!

some pics to remember what weekends are all about weekend. long walks around our neighbourhood to clear our minds, the most perfect weather, a bbq that didn’t happen so we had choris instead, and Pat’s favorite dessert.
PRINT & BASICS.
pantalón y remera Akiabara; campera Forever 21; alpargatas Paez
dos items nuevos en este outfit. le tenía ganas a unos pantalones ‘estampados’ hace tiempo. en el verano me quedé con las ganas de unos floreados, porque pensé que iba a ser algo del momento y sólo iba a querer usarlos por esos tres meses. así que con estos me saqué las ganas. el otro item es la remera blanca. si me pongo a contar la cantidad de remeras básicas lisas que tengo me quedo hasta mañana. las amo, las voy a seguir comprando, por siempre.
¿el resto del outfit? más básicos. esta campera simil cuero que ya tendría que estar reemplazando porque vio días mejores y las Paez que son lo más cómodo que hay en la vida.
últimamente volví al hábito de llevar la cámara a cuestas sin importar a dónde vaya o qué esté haciendo, y lo estoy disfrutando bastante. así que seguramente aparecerán más de estas fotos más espontáneas por acá.

i’m wearing two new additions to my wardrobe: the ‘printed’ pants and the white long sleeve tee. i’ve been wanting a pair of printed jeans/pants for a while. i passed on floral printed ones for summer because i didn’t really think it was worth investing in them, probably i’d have only worn them only for the season. i’m pretty satisfied with these, they’re cute and dark which is right up my alley. and what can i say about a basic white tee? i wouldn’t have enough time to count how many solid basic tees i have. but they’re great and i love them, and i will keep re purchasing them forever.
the other two pieces i’m wearing are my trustly faux leather jacket, that i wear all the time and has seen better days, and these Paez shoes that are just too comfortable to pass up.
lately i’ve been coming back to taking my camera with me everywhere and snapping away everything i see or do. oh, how i’m having fun. i forgot how cool it is to register everything around you. so expect more candid pics coming this way!
RED LIPS.
si hay algo que me levanta el ánimo en esos días medio bajón, son los labios rojos. comparto la filosofía de la que Lisa Eldridge, una de mis make-up artist favoritas, habla en este video: los labios rojos no son sólo para la noche o para alguna ocasión especial, sino que quedan mejor cuando sorprenden y son inesperados. creo que quedan genial cuando uno necesita un pick me up para sentirse bien y disfrutar de su día.
por mi parte, probé muchos tonos de rojos, y más allá que todo depende del tono de piel, y cuál de todos los rojos disponibles le quedan mejor a cada uno, estos son mis preferidos.
MAC ‘Russian Red’. mi primer labial rojo. lo tenía entre ceja y ceja porque es uno de los labiales más conocidos de MAC, y no paraba de escuchar lo perfecto que era. tira para el lado de un rojo más oscuro, y tiene tonos fríos, así que resalta un montón en pieles con tonos cálidos.
Lime Crime ‘Retrofuturist’. creo que fue el año pasado que Lime Crime me contactó y me mandó algunos de sus productos. imagínense mi excitación total cuando llegó la cajita con un par de labiales y otros productos. verán por la foto que este labial es well-loved, el uso atentó contra su estado. es uno de esos rojos que le quedarían bien a todo el mundo, ni muy cálido, ni muy frío, neutro. lo pueden comprar online que llega sin problemas. si quieren leer más sobre esta marca y los otros productos que recibí, pueden hacerlo acá.
Revlon ‘Fire & Ice’. aaaaah, este es mi preferido y #1 en mi lista. es súper clásico, ¡lo lanzarón en 1952! tiene tonos cálidos y es bastante saturado. ideal para que el labial rojo cumpla la función de pick me up que a veces necesitamos.
Revlon lip butter ‘Candy Apple’. este es para las que las da miedo mandarse de una con el rojo. es una mezcla entre manteca de cacao y labial. muy hidratante y fácil de aplicar. da un tono muy suave de color que se puede intensificar, así que con este no hay excusas para usarlo de día.

if there’s something that can pick me up when i’m having a ‘blah’ day is red lipstick. i have the same philosophy that Lisa Eldridge, one of my favorite make-up artists, shares in this video: red lips are best when worn unexpectedly and with a casual outfit. no need to save them for special occasion, or to pair them with an all-black outfit.
that being said, i’ve tried a lot of red lipsticks over the years. there’re tons of different shades with different undertones and mix of pigments. and even though it’s a matter of finding the right shade for you, once you turn yourself to red lipstick, there’s no going back. these are my favorites.
MAC ‘Russian Red’. my first ever red lipstick. i wanted this lipstick for a long time after hearing such great things about it since it’s one of MAC’s most famous shades. it’s a darker red with blue undertones, so it just pops on warm undertone skin. it looks great.
Lime Crime ‘Retrofuturist’. i think it was last year that Lime Crime contacted me to send me a few of their products. when the package arrived, i just couldn’t keep my exciment. as you can see from the picture, this lipstick is well loved. it’s a true red and i think this would suit a lot of people. more on this brand and the rest of the products i reviewed here.
Revlon ‘Fire & Ice’. oh, this is my favorite from the four. it’s such a classic shade of red, it was released in 1952! it has warm undertones and it works the best at lighting your face up and giving it a fresh look.
Revlon lip butter ‘Candy Apple’. this one is for those who are afraid of red lips. it’s a hybrid between a lip balm and a lipstick, so it’s really moisturizing and easy to apply. perfect for everyday, you don’t even need a mirror to apply it.
